MENS.SELECT Highlight

As some of you may know, I own a clothing store called strip'd Fashion and the above picture is the newest item that I have made for a new group geared towards men's fashion. MENS.SELECT is what it is called and I have been participating within it twice now and they are only on their 4th Collection.

What is it? A fashion & style based project aimed at bringing the very best menswear, accessories, gadgets and decor around the grid to the Guys of SL (and girls) at one location. We know not all guys are comfortable going to grab the goods at locations swarming with the ladies, so why not create a place for the fellas?

Overall Objective: To help the men of SL throw it on with style while exposing the strong & diverse designers around the grid.
* Collection will run for 14 days, and be renewed within 2 days.
* Designers and creators contribute a main item with a 40 - 50%  reduction of  the normal price.

Also, another great thing about Men's Select is that a lot of the designer's participating have FREE GIFTS!!!

So a few days ago, my Mother (Cady Fretwerk) and sister (Abernathy Button) were asked to submit a picture to the Show Me Yours Gallery for the best bloggers of 2011. They have been blogging way before I have, being featured in some of the best syndication blogs that SL has to offer. So to add this achievement under their belt is amazing!

They are really the reasons of why I considered blogging. I saw the joy, creativity and skill they had and of course me being me, I wanted to see if I had what it takes to do it as well.

She's A Black Brit with a Southern Drawl

Yesterday there was a party for my sister and Dad, though more for Abby then anything. It was a year to the day that my Dad and Abby met and became apart of the Fretwerk legacy. A fantastic day to celebrate because without it, I wouldn't be a Fretwerk myself.


Unfortunately I missed the party.

My sleeping schedule has been all out of whack the past few days to where I have been awake during the night and asleep during the day, like a damn vampire. Yes, you may call me Edward if you'd like and I can put glitter on my chest and watch you sleep. lol. Anywho, this is no excuse for missing something that really meant a lot to Abby.

Since becoming a member of the Fretwerk family I have changed so much. This is largely because of Abby. She is the most beautiful person that I have ever known, inside and out. If she has impacted my life in such a huge way in the short amount of time that I have known her, I can only imagine what she has done for the rest of my family. So, yesterday they wanted to show her. If anyone has ever met or known her, you will know what I mean when I say she deserves to be celebrated. Though if you don't, I hope that you have an Abby of your own in your life. She is one of those rare people in life that leads with their heart before all else, never says no when you are in need, supports you no matter how obscene the idea and the perfect person to put a smile on your face. This is Abby -- this is my sister, the peanut butter to my jelly, the butter to my toast, the robin to my batman, the internet to my computer, the cream to my twinkie...whoa...um, perhaps that was a little too much. I digress.

In short what I am trying to say is (and I don't say this all too often), I'm sorry Abby. I'm sorry that when it was your moment to be the focus, I wasn't there. I'm sorry that I couldn't give you all the support and love for a few hours that you have given me these past few months. And finally, I'm sorry that I am prettier then you but still can't be half the friend you are to me.

I found the floral patterned shirt while on Marketplace and when I showed it to my sister, Abernathy Button, she thought that it would be funny to try to make the shirt work as an outfit.
